Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Canada) and the African Journal of AIDS Research (AJAR) are pleased to announce that they are running a second short course for African authors who want to improve their writing skills. This course is sponsored under the project: “Building research and publication capacity among southern African scholars researching HIV and AIDS”. The course will be run in Stellenbosch, South Africa from the morning of Tuesday 4th September 2018 to lunchtime on Friday 7th September 2018. Participants must arrive on September 3rd, at the latest, and should plan to leave after lunch on 7th September.
We will cover all transport costs to and from the writing course venue in Cape Town. You will receive full board and lodging but no per diems or daily allowance will be paid.
The course is designed for researchers who:
a) have at least a Master’s degree or have recently completed a PhD or have nearly completed a PhD and
b) have started to draft an article
Selection will be competitive and, for the selected participants, attendance at the course will be supported only upon receipt of a draft manuscript at least three weeks prior to the course.
