The South African Field Epidemiology Training Programme (SAFETP) is requesting applications for the incoming 2019 class from qualified health professionals with an interest in public health and commitment to public service.
Highlighting challenges related to managing large movements of refugees and migrants outlined in the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants, this article focuses on the need to face possibly the greatest social problem in this century: to change the way we relate to the planet and to each other.
The project calls for involving ministries of education/health/others and faculties of education and for encouraging the embedding of knowledge, skills and values about the SDGs and how to achieve these and One Health within and across education curricula.
The goal of One Health Day is to bring attention around the world to the need for One Health interactions and for the world to ‘see them in action’. The One Health Day campaign is designed to engage as many individuals as possible from as many arenas as possible in One Health education and awareness events, and to generate an inspiring array of projects worldwide.
